Louis Polo
My journey in real estate began long before I ever held a license. I bought my first property in California in my early 20s alongside my mother—a single mom with limited means raising two kids. Growing up, rent hikes often meant moving, changing schools, and constantly adapting. That lack of stability made one thing clear to us: owning a home meant security, peace of mind, and a better future. So, once I had a steady job working in a hospital, we made the leap into homeownership—and I never looked back.
Later, after getting married and moving to Alhambra, CA, my career took a new direction as a Spanish interpreter. I worked remotely, taking calls from all across the U.S., helping people navigate everything from medical emergencies to insurance claims. This role not only sharpened my communication skills but also deepened my understanding of how to truly listen and advocate for others—something I carry into my real estate career today.
In 2004, my wife and I made another big move—this time to Arizona. While she worked with high-need children in the mental health field, I continued interpreting, eventually expanding into more specialized areas like military, technical, and political matters. Meanwhile, our interest in real estate grew, and we began investing in rental properties. From tenant relations to property management, I learned firsthand what it means to care for someone’s living situation—and the importance of creating a positive housing experience.
One moment I’ll never forget: holding an open house for one of our rentals, meeting countless wonderful people, and realizing—I wished I had more homes to offer. That day sparked the desire to do more, help more, and truly serve people through real estate.
In 2021, I officially became a licensed Realtor. Since then, I've focused on helping buyers and sellers navigate the process with clarity, confidence, and respect—whether in English or Spanish. I bring a calm, client-first approach to every interaction, shaped by years of interpreting, healthcare work, and real-life experience as both a homeowner and investor.
I'm also proud to say I’ve learned basic American Sign Language—my wife is deaf, and our journey together has deepened my commitment to inclusive, accessible service.
Now with Real Estate Brokers Int’l, I have the backing of a trusted brokerage with decades of experience. Together, we offer expanded services and resources to ensure you get the results you deserve.
